Mathew Stiller-Reeve

PhD, Researcher, Educator, Facilitator

About me.

Based on the picturesque island of Osterøy near Bergen, Norway, I am a freelance educator and climate & sustainability consultant with a background in climate research, holding a PhD in Meteorology from the University of Bergen. With over a decade of experience in climate research and interdisciplinary collaborations around the world, I've discovered the importance of, and developed skills in, effective communication, dialogue and facilitation.

These days, I specialise in fostering meaningful dialogue and creating collaborative environments to solve local sustainability and climate challenges. Through customised processes and events, I facilitate democratic participation and co-creation of sustainable, climate-friendly initiatives. My projects always emphasise inclusion and welcome different perspectives to meet and create innovative solutions. Many of my projects are only successful because of a real collaboration with local communities, artists, researchers and decision makers. In addition, I offer specialised writing and communication courses tailored for researchers to enable them to communicate effectively with a wider audience. Ultimately, my mission, and the mission of Village Green in general, is to promote dialogue as the cornerstone of positive change.

Lene Røkke Mathisen

Project Manager, Facilitator

About me.

I live on a small island just outside Haugesund city centre in Norway and hold a degree in Environmental Science and Coastal Management, which has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of environmental systems and the unique challenges faced by coastal regions.
As a freelance climate and sustainability facilitator and educator, I particularly draw on my experience from project management and collaborating with a highly diverse group of stakeholders. This has honed my ability to work effectively with various teams and communicate complex environmental concepts to different audiences.

I have a specific interest in sustainable food production, and ensuring an environmentally and socially sustainable future for local communities.
This focus drives my ambition of finding local solutions to global problems by facilitating arenas for democratic, community-based co-creation.
I strongly believe that creating an environment of trust will foster meaningful dialogues and spaces for critical thinking and innovative ideas, be it in a classroom, out in the field or in the corporate boardroom.
